The holidays are supposed to be a time for vacation, relaxation and fun, but for many people they're also a time filled with stress. Stress during the holidays can come from both physical sources - "I can't rest until I prepare the perfect meal ", and emotional sources- "How am I going to buy gifts for all my family?"
Stress unsettles people, and to seek comfort, many people indulge on foods that are high in fats and calories because they make them feel good. The result is many people gain weight during the holidays and by New Year's Day they have the added stress of not being able to zip up their jeans!
Relax.....take a moment to pause and take a deep breath. Then start taking control of the stress, rather than letting it take control of you. Achieving this harmony might be the best gift you could give to yourself during the holidays. And all year-round, of course!
